Synopsis:
The 1997 TV miniseries Stephen King’s The Shining tells the story of Jack Torrance, a struggling writer and recovering alcoholic who takes a winter caretaker job at the remote Overlook Hotel. Accompanied by his wife Wendy and psychic young son Danny, Jack slowly succumbs to the hotel’s malevolent supernatural forces, threatening his family’s safety. Unlike the 1980 film, this adaptation stays closer to King’s novel, emphasizing Jack’s tragic descent and Danny’s psychic abilities.
